How many people does the Villa sleep?

The Villa is designed for love and romance and is available for a couple, or a single individual. It is not suitable for children.

Do we have to share the pool?

No, the The Villa infinity pool is yours alone. You share the pool only with your partner—and clothing is optional!

Is this the exact home that we get to rent and how private is it?

Yes, there is only one Villa—and it’s yours to enjoy! The Villa is surrounded with 1 acre of lush tropical gardens, and is completely private from the other homes in the gated community. It is a single home designed for love and romance, with a wrap around veranda overlooking the Pacific and your own private pool.

Where do we park our car? Is it safe?

There is private parking right at the side of the house for two cars, and there is a security gate that can be locked if you wish.

Where do we get groceries and what is available?

There are many grocery stores within 3 minutes of the Villa. There are lots of fresh fruits and vegetables available, as well as fresh fish markets. The real treat is Friday evenings and Saturday mornings, when the farmer's market on the waterfront of the town of Quepos (3 minutes away), is open for business. Local farmers sell their products directly-enjoy the best fruits/vegetables ever eaten!

Do we need to rent a car?

For the sake of convenience, we do recommend rental of a 4X4 vehicle rental, although there are plenty of taxi and local buses available. Most tour companies also provide free transportation. All the major car rental companies are available at the airport in San Jose & Liberia, as well as in Quepos. The rental companies will meet you at the Quepos airport (8 minutes away) with your car.

How do we get there by plane?

More than 40 direct flights to San José are available daily from U.S. cities, including Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, and Atlanta. Situated in the Central Standard time zone, the time in Costa Rica varies by no more than two hours from any U.S. location.

From Canada, Toronto and Montreal also have direct flights to San José.

You can fly from San José to Quepos in 20 minutes! Two commuter airlines, Sansa and Nature Air, serve the regional airport that is within an eight minute drive of the Villa. The Sansa Airport is located conveniently beside the San Jose International Airport.

How do we get there by bus?

Direct buses leave from Coca Cola bus terminal in San José three times a day. These are large, comfortable Mercedes buses, and are a great value. The Interbus. a smaller, 9-seat van, leaves San Jose several times each day.

How do we get there by taxi?

Private taxis and vans can be pre-arranged for pick-up anywhere in San Jose—we will be happy to provide contact information for these services.

Where do we go when we arrive in Manuel Antonio or Quepos?

Our friendly bilingual property manager will meet you and personally escort you to the Villa . Our manager will walk you through the home and answer any questions and get you set up for your best holiday ever! Our Manager is also on call for you and lives within minutes of the Villa. Past guests can't say enough wonderful things about the service--which also include the booking of tours and activities.

What kinds of restaurants are available and how far away?

There are many restaurants to choose from within 5 minutes away. Just about any style of dining is available, from great local Costa Rican fare to steak & seafood. An authentic Italian pizza and deli serves up great gelato, and we even have a wonderful sushi bar. Most ethnic flavors are available. Beach front establishments even deliver to your lounge chair! Are they any maid services?

Yes, bi-weekly maid service is included. Daily maid services and laundry can be arranged at an additional cost. There are several Laundromats/laundry services available in Quepos.

Can we hire a chef?

Yes, chef services can be arranged at an additional fee to create that special intimate dining experience in the privacy of your own Villa. Your menu can be personally designed by you and prearranged with your chef.

Is there a telephone, Internet and TV, DVD?

High speed Internet, DVD & CD player, and TV are always available. Cable TV service is installed, but can be unreliable. A selection of DVDs are provided, and local rentals are also available. All local calls are free, but international calling cards are readily available and necessary for long distance calls. White sand beaches

How far is it to the beach?

The best beaches in Costa Rica are only 5min away by car, taxi or local bus. The road is windy, hilly and there are no sidewalks so we suggest that you drive. There is secure parking at the beach.

When do we receive our damage deposit?

Your damage deposit will be returned to you, by check, within 7 days of your departure.

What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, bank wire, and personal checks. 50% payment is due at time of booking to reserve your dates. The remaining 50%, plus a damage deposit, is required within 60 days of arrival. Your damage deposit will be returned to you within 7 days of your departure.

How safe is it at The Villa?

The Villa is within a gated community and provides security guards 24/7 and is equipped with an electronic monitoring alarm system. The Villa also comes with a safe for your valuables and it has a secure parking space directly beside The Villa.

What can we expect to find when we arrive?

A lovely bottle of wine, fresh tropical flower arrangement from The Villa gardens and luxurious robes for lounging around the terrace and pool.

An information booklet is provided at the Villa, listing everything that you can think of and more. Our property manager is more than happy to set you up and recommend many of the best tours/activities and restaurants during you stay.

What sort of wildlife can we expect to see at The Villa?

Fifty-five different species of birds have been sighted from the terrace! A flock of large green parrots fly by each morning and afternoon. Our favorite visitors are the endangered endemic squirrel monkeys that visit every afternoon at 2!

Costa Rican wildlife PLEASE, NEVER FEED THE MONKEYS.
